In case you haven’t heard, CCA moved into the historic Frear building in Troy, N.Y. in June of 2014. We’ve been enjoying Troy and all of the perks of working in a city that loves to celebrate the holidays. Between the Victorian Stroll, the decorations, and the illuminated trees that line historic 2nd Street, Troy welcomes the holiday spirit in true festive fashion.
In honor of our first holiday season in the new office, we decided to do something special for this year’s office holiday card. Our friend and local artist, Randy Rumpf, rendered a beautiful pen and ink image of one of the building’s three grand entryways, the original clock, and the arched windows that welcome light in our conference room.
The building was once a department store, Frear’s Cash Bazaar, and sold hard goods from 1897 until the mid-1960s. After a few change of hands and at the mercy of a suffering economy, the Frear Building closed its doors and faced demolition. Today, amid Troy’s re-growth, retail has returned to the ground level storefronts and multiple businesses occupy the interior floors (including us!).
We’ve decorated with poinsettias and lights, hung a garland wreath from our front door, and started a little deck-the-desks competition. With cookie platters, chocolates, and music that harmoniously accompanies our workday, we’re having a blast celebrating the much-anticipated holiday season.
Thanks again to our holiday card artist, Randy Rumpf, and to all of our clients and vendors. You have made 2014 a great year! We wish you the best of health, laughter, and good tidings in the year to come.
Happy Holidays from CCA.
