University of Delaware Selects Creative Communication Associates for New Brand Identity Project

The University of Delaware has chosen Creative Communication Associates (CCA) to develop a new brand strategy and identity system, including communication guidelines, to support an official re-launch of the University brand in 2010.

Working closely with UD’s Office of Communications and Marketing (CM),CCA will provide strategic consultation and develop a compelling new institutional brand platform for the University. The project also encompasses creative executions of the brand across various media and guidance with respect to standards, templates, and visual-graphic representations that distinguish UD from its peers.

The University of Delaware is a state-assisted, privately governed university with more than 16,000 undergraduates and a total enrollment of nearly 20,000. In addition to its main campus in Newark, the University operates campuses in Wilmington, Dover, Georgetown, and Lewes, as well as overseas teaching facilities in London, Paris, and China. A research-intensive Land Grant, Sea Grant, and Space Grant institution, UD offers 130 undergraduate majors, as well as 79 master’s degrees and 39 doctoral programs.

“We are thrilled to be working with one of the nation’s great public universities,” said CCA president and creative director Ed Sirianno. “UD has demonstrated remarkable dynamism in recent years, attracting more than 25,000 applicants for the class of 2012. We look forward to partnering with the University of Delaware as it continues to gain national and international recognition.”
