The Account Supervisor (AS) owns the relationship between the agency and the clients assigned to them and is accountable for the overall success and health of their accounts. They will collaborate closely with the agency’s internal teams to build strategy and execute, manage, deliver, and analyze each client’s marketing campaigns while serving as the primary point of interaction with the client’s senior leadership team. They are also responsible for promoting the expansion of new business with existing clients.

As our Account Supervisor you will: 

  • Be accountable for all decisions and recommendations identified internally with cross-functional teams, which are communicated and implemented with the clients
  • Build strategy and creative briefs, marketing plans/timelines, and budgets
  • Serve as the primary contact to client and agency teams to lead marketing strategies
  • Maintain direct, day-to-day, senior-level client contact
  • Work closely with the project creative team to devise a communication and/or creative strategy for clients and takes responsibility for making sure the strategy is implemented according to agency and client expectations
  • Provide creative, production, media, and digital colleagues with well-documented input, support data and production materials as required
  • Be accountable for the financial health of accounts and client forecasts, partnering with the Vice President of Client Services and Accounting to ensure accurate invoicing and maintenance of financial reports
  • Proactively manage financial concerns with the client and senior leadership team
  • Consult with the Creative Director and appropriate support team, reviews and approves copy, design, and production art, and coordinates client approval of same
  • Identify and manages the execution of the approved scope of work consistent with strategic objectives
  • Understands supports and makes recommendations to ensure client projects are completed on time and on budget
  • Partner with the creative and strategy teams in the development of brand strategy, media campaign planning, and detailed program plans
  • Seek out new business opportunities with current clients and plays a leading role in their development
  • Support new business development for the agency as needed, with the preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Participate in agency/client contract negotiations
  • Travel, as necessary to client discovery visits, presentations, conferences, photoshoots, and other project-related events that require direct contact with clients. Safety First – travel will be more regular when it is safe to do so

You have:

  • Direct experience interfacing with clients at a senior level who can lead and manage multiple client accounts
  • Ability to work in team environment fostering ideas through collaboration
  • Experience developing and managing project budgets
  • Proficient in Mac software programs Experience using Basecamp and/or Workamajig a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills with proven persuasive skills with clients
  • Sound decision-making skills based in agency, client, and industry knowledge
  • Experience managing digital projects and teams — display ads, mobile ads, interactive solutions, and website design
  • B.S. or B.A. Degree Required (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of marketing/advertising experience, preferably at an agency
  • Higher Education experience is a plus
